JASWANT SINGH, J (ORAL) The petitioner was an aspirant for appointment to the solitary post advertised vide Advertisement dated 4.5.2014 (P.2) for Lecturer in Biology on contract basis at the Senior Secondary Residential School for meritorious students of SAS Nagar Mohali, whose Management vests with the Society -respondent No.3. Since the petitioner has secured her National Eligibility Test (for short "NET") Examination in the subject of "Education" as per Guidelines of the UGC, her belief that she was entitled to exemption from taking the written test for selection, led to her exclusion from consideration at the selection process for such appointment.

Upon notice, reply has been filed wherein it is stated that the petitioner was not entitled to exemption from taking the Written Test, and for not having appeared in the Written Test, she was rightly excluded from consideration for appointment as Lecturer in Biology. It is, however, stated that in the subsequent Advertisement dated 07.6.2015, the petitioner has undertaken the

CWP No.17830 of 2014 #2# written test and on her merit, she has been offered appointment as Lecturer in Biology. The petitioner is stated to have joined pursuant to such selection and appointment.

At the time of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press this petition since the petitioner has secured appointment in some other School.

Dismissed as not pressed.
