**** KIRTI SINGH, J. (Oral) By way of present writ petition filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the official respondents to take action on representation dated 14.06.2024 (Annexure P-2) for protection of life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondent No.5. 2.

A reply dated 22.07.2024 by way of an affidavit of Nikhil Garg, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division Payal, Police District Khanna, District Ludhiana, has been filed on behalf of the respondents No.1 to 4 by the learned counsel for the State. The same is taken on record. 3.

Learned State counsel while referring to Paragraph No.3 of reply submits that petitioner recorded her statement that there is no threat perception from anyone at this time, therefore, present petition is infructuous. Paragraph No.3 of reply is reproduced as under : "3. That, apart from this, the petitioner recorded her statement that she has been residing in Village Buani with Gurcharan Singh and does not wish to reside with her husband, Sandeep Singh (respondent no.5). CRWP-5898-2024 - 2 - further stated that she does not have any kind of threat from her in-laws' family and, if she feels threatened by anyone in the future, she will seek assistance from the local police. True translation of the statement of the petitioner is Annexure R4/T. "

Be that as it may, this Court has gone through the reply filed by the State and has noticed that due attention and care has been given to the grouse of the petitioner.

Thus, in view of the submissions made hereinabove, present petition stands disposed of as infructuous.
