G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) The petitioner is seeking quashing of the letter dated 20.01.2014 (Annexure P-5) whereby, he is sought to be relieved from 31.08.2014.

The petitioner, having been appointed on a contractual basis after retirement on 17.12.2008 for a period of one year, has no vested legal right. The contract was extended till 31.08.2014, on which date, the petitioner reached the age of 65 years. Thereafter, on account of a policy decision, the contract has not been renewed.
