Prayer in this petition is for a direction to respondents No. 1 to 4 to protect life and liberty of petitioner, as he apprehends danger thereto, at the hands of some gangster turned terrorist as named in the petition, alleged to be targeting the petitioner at the instance of respondent No.5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that two of petitioner's associates have already been murdered by gangsters and threats are now been issued to the petitioner. In regard to apprehension to life and liberty of the petitioner, various representations, it is stated have been submitted to the official respondents, the latest being on 12.07.222 (Annexure P-11), but no action is being taken thereon. Notice of motion.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case, at this stage, but without any expression of opinion on the merits of the matter, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3- Additional Director General of Police (A.D.G.P.), Security, Punjab, to look into representation dated 12.07.222 (Annexure P-11) and take necessary action, as may be/if required, in accordance with law after proper evaluation of threat perception to the petitioner. In case of an order adverse to the petitioner, same be by way of a speaking order. Petition is disposed of accordingly.
