Through the instant criminal writ petition, the petitioner seeks issuance of directions upon the respondents No.2 to 5 to ensure protection of his life and liberty at the hands of respondents No.6 and 7. 2.

Without commenting anything about veracity of the allegations narrated in the instant petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the official respondent(s) concerned to evaluate whether the threat perception, as alleged by the petitioner, genuinely exists or the same is based upon mere assumptions and presumptions. In case, the apprehension expressed by the petitioner genuinely exists and if any threat to petitioner's life and liberty is perceived, the official respondent(s) concerned is directed to take appropriate steps/measures warranted under law, thus ensuring protection of petitioner's life and liberty. 3.

Disposed of accordingly.
