Through the instant writ petition, the petitioner has sought a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to release the payment of the work done by the petitioner. In this context, the petitioner has sent a representation, as is apparent from the letter dated 28.4.2017 ( Annexure P-5) sent by Executive Engineer, Provincial Division, PWD (B&R) Branch, Mansa to Chief Engineer (South)-cum- Nodal Officer (Building) Public works Department, B&R Branch, Chandigarh. Notice of motion. On asking of the Court, notice has been accepted by Ms. Anu Pal, AAG, Punjab. Copy given. The writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 Chief Engineer (Buildings), PWD (B&R) to consider the claim of the petitioner within a period of three months after the receipt of certified copy of the order. If the petitioner is held entitled to any amount, the same may be released to him.
