  **** HARNARESH SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) Through this petition, the petitioner seeks interim regular bail in case bearing FIR No.190 dated 07.05.2021, registered under Sections 22 and 29 of the NDPS Act and Section 25 of the Arms Act, at Police Station City Nawanshahar, District SBS Nagar, for a period of 7 days.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that father of the petitioner passed away on 05.07.2022 and that the Bhog ceremony of petitioner's father is scheduled for 03.08.2022 at Village Bhathhey, Police Station Sham Chasurasi, District Hoshiarpur.

On 28.07.2022, learned State counsel sought time to verify the aforesaid fact.

Learned State counsel, on the basis of the report of the SHO concerned, does not dispute the aforesaid factum. He, however, submits that there are other cases of similar nature registered against the petitioner.

CRM-M-32815-2022 (O&M) -2Without going into the merits of the case and taking into consideration the fact that the Bhog ceremony of the father of the petitioner is scheduled for 03.08.2022, the present petition is disposed of with a direction that the petitioner shall be taken to the Bhog Ceremony of his father on the given date in Police custody and after attending the Bhog ceremony, the petitioner shall be brought back to the concerned jail by 5:00 p.m. on the same day.
