Present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for issuance of directions to respondents No.1 to 5 to protect the lives, liberty and property of the petitioners at the hands of respondents No.6 & 7 and also to provide them protection.

Learned counsel for the petitioners contended that for the purpose of redressal of their grievance, petitioners made representations dated 21.05.2019 (Annexure P3 to P5), dated 04.07.2019 (Annexure P6) to the Director General of Police, Punjab, Inspector General of Police, Amritsar and Senior Superintendent of Police, Amritsar Rural and dated 21.05.2019 (Annexure P7) to the Election Commissioner, Punjab, respectively, but till date no action has been taken thereon.
