...Respondent(s)
CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE G.S.SANDHAWALIA
Present:
Ms. Amrita Nagpal, Advocate, for the petitioners.
G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) The petitioners seek a direction for consideration for promotion to the post of Leading Fireman by averring that they are eligible as per the Rules and directions issued on 08.03.2017 and 19.04.2017 (Annexures P-9 and P-10) in another writ petition i.e. CWP No. 17115 of 2015 titled Tara Chand and others vs. State of Haryana and others. The case of the petitioners is that they are working as Firemen and their dates of appointment have been given in para no. 2 and the copy of the appointment letters have been appended as Annexure P-1. It is, thus, their case that the next promotional post is of Leading Fireman and they are not being promoted.
Counsel submits that representations dated 19.07.2013, 03.12.2013 and 03.08.2015 (Annexure P-7 colly) have already been filed for the said benefits but the same have not been decided. Counsel further submits that he would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to decide the said representations within a fixed time frame. Notice of motion.
