G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) Challenge in the present writ petition is to the order dated 28.07.2014 (Annexure P-8) whereby, the claim of the petitioner for government job against the land acquired at village Gobindpura has been rejected.

A perusal of the impugned order would go on to show that the reason which weighed with the said respondent was that 6 kanals of land belonging to the grand mother of the petitioner had been acquired, for which compensation had already been paid. One member of the family had already got a job in the police department and, therefore, the claim of the petitioner for appointment has been rejected. Counsel for the petitioner has vehemently submitted that there were some other families where more than one member had been appointed and, therefore, the petitioner has been discriminated. A perusal of the policy dated 08.11.2011 would go on to show that public employment is to be given to one member of the family whose land has been acquired for the Peona Power Plant. -2one member from the family of the petitioner has been adjusted. In such circumstances, there is no legal and vested right of the petitioner to seek the mandate for appointment over and above the policy which is a mere concession. If any illegality has been committed qua the others, that would not give a claim for invoking Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India.

Resultantly, there is no merit in the present writ petition and the same is dismissed.
