(ORAL) Instant writ petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India has been filed for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the official respondents to take action against respondents No.5 to 9 who are constructing the commercial building without following any norms and without getting the building plans sanctioned. Learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the present writ petition on merits, however, prays that Executive Officer, Municipal Committee, Mandi Gobindgarh, be directed to look into the grievance of the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner relies upon the judgment of Division Bench of this Court in CWP No.9917 of 2008 titled The Defence Colony Residents Society (Registered), Jalandhar v. RAVINDER SINGH 2015.08.21 15:37 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

-2CWP No.17368 of 2015 State of Punjab and others decided on 11.11.2011 wherein the Division Bench has held as under: - "As is apparent from the affidavits filed by the petitioner and respondent No.5, there are some commercial activities being carried out in the area in the form of small shops, clinics of doctors etc. in the houses illegally. Direction is issued to the Municipal Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar to look into the same and take action in accordance with law to stop such illegal activities. This exercise be completed within a period of six months."

Present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to Executive Officer, Municipal Committee, Mandi Gobindgarh, to look into the grievance of the petitioner and communicate the decision to the petitioner, preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
