G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) The petitioner challenges the order dated 31.05.2007 (Annexure P-1) vide which, the services of the petitioner were ordered to be terminated. Similarly, a writ in the nature of mandamus is prayed for to adjust the petitioner in other schools against respective posts as guest faculty till regular appointments are made.

A perusal of the impugned order would go on to show that the relieving from the post of Sanskrit Teacher was on account of the joining of regular teacher and the petitioner had worked from 11.10.2006 to 31.05.2007. A period of more than 10 years have passed by now and, therefore, challenge at this belated stage to the order would be hit by the principle of delay and laches. It is settled principle that the writ Court will not exercise its jurisdiction for the persons who sleep over their rights. Even otherwise, the petitioner was never appointed on regular basis and does not have any legal right as such to seek a writ in the nature of mandamus.

Accordingly, this Court is loath to interfere in the order impugned and the present writ petition is dismissed in limine. 21.07.2017 (G.S.
