Petitioner is seeking issuance of directions to the respondents to provide adequate security to the petitioner, who has complained against several accused, who have obtained false SC Certificate and used the same to be appointed for Government Service.

Short reply by way of affidavit of Sh.Jayant Puri, IPS Assistant Superintendent of Police City-I, District SAS Nagar has been filed by learned State counsel on behalf of respondent No.1 in Court today. The same is taken on record subject to all just exceptions.

Learned State counsel, at the outset, has drawn the attention of this Court to paragraph 5 of the reply filed and has submitted that although the petitioner is involved in three criminal cases yet instructions have been issued to the concerned police station to increase patrolling in the area where he resides and to ensure that the life and liberty of the petitioner is not jeopardised at the hands of any unscrupulous elements.
