MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (Oral) Prayer in the present petition is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No. 233 dated 20.08.2013 under Sections 406, 498-A, 323, 34 IPC registered at Police Station Nakodar, District Jalandhar. Learned counsel submits that the only ground on which the prayer for anticipatory bail was declined by the trial court was that the petitioner had been declared a Proclaimed Offender. He submits that there was no such material on record to show that he had ever been declared a Proclaimed Offender.

Notice of motion.

On the asking of the court, Mr. Luvinder Sofat, AAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the State. He, on instructions from ASI Sukhwinder Singh, has apprised the court that the petitioner was declared a RUPINDER KAUR 2021.09.09 17:35 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Proclaimed Offender way back in the year 2015.

In the circumstances, no ground is made out to extend the concession of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, who admittedly is a Proclaimed Offender.
