(Oral) The present writ petition is filed for the grant of revised pension and arrears of late husband of the petitioner having been revised w.e.f. 1.1.1996 vide order dated 22.2.2018 i.e. after the filing of the present writ petition.
Reply has been filed. As per the said reply, the delay was not intentional as the service book of the husband of the petitioner was not traceable earlier and processing without the service book was impossible. Be that as it may, the same has been delayed on account of the fault of the respondents and not on account of the petitioner in any manner. In view of the above, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to pay interest on the said arrears @ 6% per annum from the date it was due uptill it is finally paid. The same be released within two months from the receipt of the certified copy of this order. In case, the said amount is not paid within the period mentioned above, the respondents shall be liable to pay interest @ 12% per annum after the expiry of the two months.
