G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) Claim in the present writ petition is for issuance of direction to the respondents to promote the petitioner to the post of Maths Master from the date his junior was promoted since the petitioner is stated to be fully eligible and entitled for the same.

The petitioner restricts his relief only to the extent that his legal notice dated 05.02.2015 (Annexure P-5) be decided within a stipulated time frame by respondent no. 2.

It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner was appointed as JBT Teacher on 07.05.2002 and he had joined on 30.05.2002. His case for promotion to the post of Maths Master was sent vide communication dated 09.08.2010 (Annexure P-4) by the BPEO, Ferozepur to respondent no. 4-District Education Officer. It is the case of the petitioner that in spite of a period of more than 5 years having been passed, promotion is still held up. Accordingly, keeping in view the limited claim and without commenting upon the merits of the same and the entitlement of the petitioner as such, this Court does not feel it necessary to call upon the State SHIVANI GUPTA 2015.08.25 11:51 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
