Mr. Shiv Kumar, Advocate, for the petitioner. Mr. Arjun Sheoran, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab. **** This petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for a direction to the respondent>authorities to decide his appeal (Annexure P>8) dated 18.05.2023 filed against the order dated 25.04.2023 (Annexure P>7) passed by the respondent>authorities. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is asking for stay of the aforesaid impugned order dated 25.04.2023 and also wants urgent hearing on his application for stay.
Learned Deputy Advocate General appearing on behalf of the respondent>State of Punjab submits that the appeal along with an application for stay filed by the petitioner has now been fixed for hearing for 21.07.2023.
When confronted with the fact that the petitioner has filed any stay application before the Appellate Authority, learned counsel for the petitioner prays for and is permitted to withdraw the petition with liberty to file an application seeking urgent hearing of his application for stay before the Appellate Authority.

2023:PHHC:084807-DB 2 CWP 14024-2023 Learned Deputy Advocate General, Punjab submits that in case the petitioner does so, the Appellate Authority shall take up the application of the petitioner even prior to the date fixed in the appeal filed by him and pass necessary orders, if so required, in accordance with law.
In view of the statement made by learned Deputy Advocate General, Punjab and taking the same on record, the petition stands disposed of.
