Prayer in this petition filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, (in short 'BNSS') (corresponding to Section 482 of Cr.P.C.), is for issuance of a direction to respondents No.2 and 3 not to raid the house of the petitioner and to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hand of respondent No.3 and other police officials. Further prayer has been made to direct the respondent No.2 to look into the representation dated 15.05.2025 filed by the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that the petitioner is an old lady and the husband of the petitioner had already expired and she was residing with her daughter Pooja Sahota who has since been moved to Dubai. It is further contended that the daughter of the petitioner and one Baljinder Singh were good friends since last many years and on 19.04.2025, Baljinder Singh has made a complaint before the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana against the daughter of the petitioner and one Deepak Kumar resident of Machiwara. CRM-M-27948-2025 manner. The police officials are illegally harassing the petitioner by visiting her house twice a week without seeking permission of the Court and they are threatening her. The petitioner is not able to provide the address of her daughter. As such, the petitioner made a representation on 15.05.2025, however no action has been taken so far by respondent No.2 upon the said representation.

Learned State counsel, on the other hand, submits that the present petition is totally misconceived. The petitioner has never been harassed by the police officials and even till date, no police officials have visited the house of the petitioner and the present petition has been filed only to create a pressure upon the jurisdictional police authorities not to investigate the complaint filed against the daughter of the petitioner.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and after perusal of the record, this Court finds no reason to pass any direction in the matter, in view of the specific statement made by learned State counsel.

Disposed of accordingly.
