On our asking, Ms.Kirti Singh, learned Deputy Advocate General, Haryana, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
Let four copies of the writ petition be supplied to the State counsel during the course of day failing which this order shall be automatically recalled and the writ petition shall be deemed to have been dismissed for non-prosecution. In view of the nature of order which we propose to pass, it is not necessary to seek any counter-reply from the respondent at this stage.
The grievance of the petitioners is that they are senior citizens and are residing in village Jagoli, Tehsil and District Ambala for the last more than 40 to 50 years. CWP No.17544 of 2015 [2] their names in the revised voter list ignoring the documentary proof in their possession. The aforesaid issue has been raised by the petitioners vide representation dated 05.08.2015 (P-15) to the Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer, Ambala.
We thus dispose of this writ petition without expressing any views on merits but with a direction to the Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer, Ambala, to verify petitioners' claim and take an appropriate action in accordance with law before the elections of Gram Panchayat are held.
Ordered accordingly.
