*** The case has been taken up through Video Conferencing. Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Jagga Singh states that both the petitioners had got their statements recorded with the police that they do not apprehend danger to their lives and liberty at the hands of private respondents and they do not require any police protection. They had further stated before the police that if they apprehend any danger to their lives and liberty in future then they would submit application in that regard to the police. Copies of statements dated 19.10.2020 by Amritpal Kaur-petitioner No. 1 and Amandeep Singh-petitioner No. 2 have been placed on record as Annexure R-1/T and Annexure R-2/T. Further more, their affidavits have also been annexed as Annexure R-3/T and Annexure R4/T respectively.
