(Oral) The present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India with a prayer for issuance of directions especially in the nature of mandamus directing respondent Nos.1 to 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner or in the alternative to direct the respondents to decide the representation dated 16.7.2021 (Annexure P-5). Learned State counsel by referring to the affidavit filed by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, has submitted that the competent authority has considered the grievance of the petitioner with regard to the RAJ KUMAR ARORA 2022.03.05 14:55 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRWP-8555-2021 (O&M) grant of protection and an order has been passed on 17.1.2022 vide Annexure R-1, which has been attached with the affidavit. As per the order the matter with regard to the grant of protection to the petitioner was considered by a Standing Committee of Haryana Witnesses Protection Scheme - 2018, convened under the Chairmanship of Sh.A.K.Singhal, learned District and Sessions Judge, Hisar, and consisting of Dr.Pryanka Soni, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Hisar, Sh.Balwan Singh, IPS, DIG-cumSuperintendent of Police, Hisar, Nitika Gahlaut, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Hansi and Sh.Mohinder Singh, District Attorney, Hisar.

The Committee has considered the application of the petitioner and report of the local police of Police Station, Narnaund along with In-charge, Security Branch, office of Superintendent of Police, Hansi and has conveyed the minutes of the aforesaid meeting to the Superintendent of Police, Hisar, who has passed the order and according to which it was decided that there is no need to provide security to the petitioner and therefore, the application of the petitioner was declined.
