Pursuant to the order dated 05.05.2026, an affidavit of Sh. Gurmit Singh, Block Development and Panchayat Officer, Samana, District Patiala has been filed by the learned State counsel in Court today, which is taken on record. Registry to scan and tag the same at the appropriate place. In para Nos.7 and 8 of the said affidavit it has been stated as under : "7. That upon receipt of the said notices, the encroachers informed the Gram Panchayat that the alleged encroachment over the passage had been removed. Thereafter, the Gram Panchayat passed Resolution dated 18.08.2025 and informed the competent authority accordingly. It was further resolved that a fresh YOGESH SHARMA 2026.05.11 10:02 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment.

CWP-14681-2024 (O&M) demarcation be conducted so as to conclusively ascertain whether any encroachment still subsisted upon Panchayat land. Copy of Resolution dated 18.08.2025 is annexed herewith as ANNEXURE R-3.

8. That the competent revenue authority thereafter conducted fresh demarcation on 30.04.2026 in respect of the passage comprised in Khasra No. 576, and as per the said demarcation report, no encroachment was found existing on the spot.

Copy of the demarcation report dated 30.04.2026 is annexed herewith as ANNEXURE R-4."

In view of the above, the present writ petition has since been rendered infructuous and the same is disposed off as such. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off.
