Mr. Bhanu Pratap Singh, Advocate for respondent No.3-Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana. JASWANT SINGH, J (ORAL) The petitioner has been working as Assistant Engineer with the Local Government of Punjab and posted at Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana since 2006. He has sought a direction to the respondents for granting him benefit of the Proficiency Step Up on completion of 04 and 09 years of service under the ACP Scheme. In the alternative, direction is sought for decision on the representation dated 21.4.2016 (P.4) submitted in the aforesaid regard.
At the time of hearing, learned state counsel, on instructions from Kulwinder Singh, Sr. Assistant, Local Government, Punjab, submits that the necessary relief has since been granted by passing an order dated 22.9.2016 thereby rendering the present writ petition as infructuous. A copy of the order in vernacular along with its translation has been placed on record.
CWP No.16661 of 2016 #2# Learned counsel appearing for respondent No.3-M.C, in the light of the order dated 22.9.2016, has assured that the requisite monetary reliefs in this respect shall be released to the petitioner within four weeks from today.
Faced with the aforesaid facts, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press this writ petition any longer. Dismissed as not pressed.
