**** RAJ MOHAN SINGH, J. (Oral) Petitioner has preferred this writ petition against the award dated 11.01.2018 passed by respondent No.2. Notice of motion was issued on 07.05.2018 by passing the following order:- "Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the private respondent had applied for electricity connection for running a tubewell in the year 2007. His application was kept to be decided as per its turn. A scheme was also floated by the petitioner called 'out of turn self financing scheme' to accelerate the
-2connection, out of turn, which was not availed by the private respondent. In the meantime, the area was declared as 'dark zone'. The private respondent filed an application under Section 22C of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 [for short 'the Act'] before the Permanent Lok Adalat, Karnal, which has been allowed only on the ground that he had applied in the year 2007 but his application was kept pending by the petitioner.

In the meantime, operation of the impugned order shall remain stayed."
Apparently, the petitioner has applied for running a tubewell connection in 2007 and the application was kept pending. In the meanwhile, out of turn scheme known as "out of turn self-financing scheme" was floated to accelerate the electricity connection. That scheme was not availed by the petitioner and in the meantime, the area in question was declared to be a "dark zone".
Learned counsel for respondent No.1 submits that now the dark zone has been lifted and respondent No.1 is entitled for electric connection even as per his status on record.
-3Respondent No.1 is ready to deposit the requisite amount for electric connection and would also provide free passage to the official for making necessary connection in the field of respondent No.1.
The factual position of the case is admitted by learned counsel for the petitioner.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in case the respondent No.1 deposits the requisite amount and also provides a free passage to the official for making necessary connection, needful shall be done within two weeks thereafter. In view of consensus arrived at between the parties, this petition is disposed of.
Since, the writ petition is being disposed of on the basis of consensus, therefore, the order in respect of payment of compensation by the officer of the petitioner- Nigam is also set aside.
