(Oral) Today, at the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner may be granted another extension of parole for about 10 days and that he shall positively surrender before the jail authorities on 1.10.2021.

Upon a query made by this Court as to on what grounds further extension is sought, the learned counsel submitted that the condition of his father is not well.

I have considered the aforesaid submission.

The petitioner had been granted parole on account of the fact that his father was to be operated upon on account of knee replacement. The MOHAN SINGH 2021.09.17 18:08 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

- 2 - CRWP-8483-2021 (O&M) said surgery is stated to have been performed on 26.7.2021 and he was discharged from the hospital on 29.7.2021 and was advised complete bed rest w.e.f. 30.7.2021 upto 3.9.2021 as would be evident from medical certificate Annexure P-3.

Having regard to the aforesaid submission and the fact that the petitioner has already availed one extension and has been on parole since the last two months and also that there is nothing on record to show that there is any complication in respect of the surgery performed on his father regarding knee replacement, this Court does not find any ground to extend the parole.
