Petitioner has posed a challenge to order dated 12.10.2016 passed by Presiding Officer, Industrial Tribunal, Ludhiana whereby it directed the petitioner to pay monetary benefits to respondents-workmen for working on Saturdays for a period of three years prior to filing of CWP No. 19285 of 2003. A query has been put to learned counsel for the petitioner whether ratio of judgment reported as Municipal Employees Union & ors. vs. State of Punjab & ors. 2000(9) SCC 432 would be applicable to the instant case.
