CRM-M-23654-2021 Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioner having been in custody since 20.11.2020, the trial has still not commenced, inasmuch as the charges have still not been framed. Upon query to learned State counsel he submits that there is one other criminal case registered against the petitioner, alleging therein the commission of offences punishable under the provisions of Sections 323/341/351/188/506/149 of the IPC.

The petitioner has been in custody for almost 01 year with the trial not having commenced. Though the petitioner has been specifically



named in the statement of the injured taken on record today, it is seen that even one Rupesh Kumar Giri was admitted to bail by this court on 11.06.2021, who had also been named in the statement, with far more serious allegations made against him.

CRM-M-31847-2020 As regards the petitioner in this petition (Raminder Singh @ Ruminder Singh @ Gagandeep Singh @ Gaggu), he is stated to have not been named in the FIR but subsequently named in the supplementary statement of the complainant, as also by the aforesaid statement of the victim.

That being so, simply on the basis of parity, these
