(Oral) The instant petition has been filed for grant of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner(s) in case bearing FIR No. 173 dated 29.04.2026 for offence(s) under Sections 21(b) and 27A of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 registered at Police Station Sadar Fatehabad, District Fatehabad.

Status report by way of affidavit dated 26.05.2026 on behalf of respondent-State has been filed by the learned State counsel in the Court today and the same is taken on record. Copy thereof has been furnished to the counsel for the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner(s) inter alia contends that pursuant to the order dated 15.05.2026 passed by this Court, the petitioner(s) has joined investigation and his custodial interrogation is no longer required for investigation of the case.

Learned State counsel on instruction from the Investigating Officer, corroborates the said averment and submits that further custodial interrogation of the petitioner is not required for the purpose of investigation.
