Prayer in this criminal writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus for directing the official respondents No.2 and 3 to restrain respondent No.4 from interfering in the married life of the petitioners. Further prayer has been made to ensure the security of life and liberty of the petitioners and family members of petitioner No.2, from the hands of respondent No.4.

On oral request of learned counsel for the petitioners, respondent No.2 be read as Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala, Punjab. Registry to do the needful.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that let this petition be disposed of only with a direction to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala (respondent No.2) to consider and decide the representation dated 24.06.2024 (Annexure P-5) alleged to MOHD YAKUB 2024.06.27 14:24 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Punjab & Haryana High Court at Chandigarh
CRWP No.6057 of 2024 (O&M) have been submitted by the petitioners seeking protection for their lives and personal liberty.

Accordingly, and without commenting upon the merits of the claim of the petitioners and even the assertions set out in the petition, the same is disposed of only with a direction to respondent No.2 i.e. Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala, Punjab, that if any such representation, as indicated above, is indeed pending consideration, it shall be dealt with expeditiously in accordance with law.
