IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT

CHANDIGARH CWP No. 17772 of 2015 Date of decision: 26.08.2015 Manjit Kaur ....Petitioner(s)

Versus

State of Punjab and others

...Respondent(s)

CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE G.S.SANDHAWALIA

Present:

Mr. Dinesh Nagar, Advocate, for the petitioner.

G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) Claim in the present writ petition is for issuance of directions to the respondents to consider and promote the petitioner as an Anganwari Supervisor from the post of Anganwari worker. It is the case of the petitioner that she was appointed on 14.09.2007 and belongs to a Scheduled Caste category and prior to that, she had done her L.L.B. and is also enrolled as an Advocate. On account of her education, she is eligible to be selected to the post of Supervisor, which is lying vacant.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if a decision is taken within a time bound frame upon her representation dated 11.03.2015 (Annexure P-4). Keeping in view the limited relief, this Court does not feel necessary to call upon the State to file reply. Accordingly, without going into the merits of the case, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no. 3 to take into consideration the representation dated 11.03.2015 (Annexure P-4) and decide the same within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order. Needless to say that in case the relief is to be denied, the order should contain reasons.

26.08.2015 (G.S. SANDHAWALIA) shivani JUDGE SHIVANI GUPTA 2015.08.27 12:58 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
