(ORAL) Admittedly, CWP No.7983 of 2009 filed by the petitioner along with others was allowed by this Court vide order dated 22.01.2010. The petitioner could not avail the benefit arising out of the said order due to his family circumstances. Vide the aforesaid order, the petitioner and others were held entitled for undergoing lower school course as per past precedents.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the date of birth of the petitioner is 01.04.1964 and has retired on 31.03.2022. Even a speaking order has also been passed by the respondent Department in pursuance of order dated POONAM BHATT 2023.04.24 15:07 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

In view of the aforesaid factual position, the petitioner does not qualify the criteria in terms of Rule 13.7(2)(ii) of the Punjab Police Rules and the eligibility condition cannot be relaxed.

This writ petition is found to be devoid of merits and is accordingly dismissed.
