**** RAJ MOHAN SINGH, J. (Oral) The case has been taken up for hearing through video conferencing.

Petitioners have approached this Court by way of present writ petition for issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction especially in the nature of mandamus directing respondent No.3- Marriage Registrar to register the marriage of the petitioners in accordance with law.

As per pleadings of the case, marriage between the petitioners was solemnized on 14.01.2014. At that time, petitioner No.1 was not of marriageable age of 21 years. Out of JYOTI SHARMA 2021.10.27 16:31 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP No. 17591 of 2021 -2the wedlock, one son namely Gravit has been born on 22.01.2015. On attaining majority in terms of marriageable age, the petitioners applied for registration of marriage before respondent No.3 on 23.08.2021.

Grievance of the petitioners in the present writ petition is that their marriage was not registered and the same was declined on 31.08.2021 by respondent No.3. On 08.09.2021, learned State counsel appeared on the basis of advance notice and sought time.

Today, learned State counsel on instructions from Mr. Balwinder Singh, Naib Tehsildar, Indri submits that in case the petitioners appear before respondent No.3 within one week after taking online appointment, needful shall be done in accordance with law.

The stand of the State counsel appears to be just and appropriate.

Let the petitioners appear before respondent No.3 after taking prior online appointment within one week from today. In the event of their appearance, respondent No.3 shall proceed to do the needful in accordance with law. Disposed of.
