Petitioners have prayed for writ in the nature of mandamus to direct the respondents to promote the petitioners to the post of Lecturer History with effect from the date when their juniors have been promoted. Learned State counsel submits that seniority is likely to be finalized within two months. In case any right accrues to the petitioners thereafter they shall be granted the necessary benefits.
