The petitioners are the residents of village Ramewal, Tehsil Nurmahal, District Jalandhar. Through this writ petition, the petitioners pray for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari to quash the impugned action of the respondent No.8.

In essence, the petitioners claim that they belong to a lower caste community and the Gram Panchayat is digging a pond to store and process the waste water. However, the pond has been designed in a manner so as to deny its benefit to the petitioners. 3.

On 05.04.2021, the Director, Rural Development and Panchayat, Punjab, directed the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Zila Parishad, Jalandhar, to conduct an inquiry into the complaint against the Sarpanch of the Gram Panchayat of the village Ramewal, under Section 20 DEEPAK KUMAR BHARDWAJ 2021.09.13 14:24 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document of the Punjab Panchayati Raj act, 1994.
