-.- KARAMJIT SINGH , J. (Oral) Petitioners allege that both of them are major and they got married on 25.7.2022 against the wishes of respondent Nos.4 to 10 who are related to petitioner No.2. The counsel for the petitioners further submits that this is first marriage of petitioner No.2. Counsel for the petitioners submits that both the petitioners are Muslim by religion and that petitioner No.1 is already married but as per Muslim law he can contract second marriage even during subsistence of first marriage. The counsel for the petitioners further submits that respondents No.4 to 10 are extending threats to cause harm to the petitioners and in this regard representation dated GAURAV SOROT 2022.08.02 12:04 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

( 2 ) CRWP-7311-2022 26.7.2022 (Annexure P-5) has already been given to respondent No.2 but the authorities failed to take any action.

Notice of motion.

Ms. Harpreet Kaur, AAG, accepts notice on behalf of the State of Haryana. She submits that the concerned authority will look into the matter and take decision on the representation of the petitioners in accordance with law.

In view of above, without going into merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with direction to respondent No.2 to consider representation (Annexure P-5) and to provide appropriate protection to the petitioners if so warranted. However, any observations made in this order will not be construed as an expression of opinion on the validity of the marriage of the petitioners.

In case the petitioners have committed any offence, the law will take its own course.
