The petitioner has approached this Court seeking grant of anticipatory bail in respect of a case registered vide FIR No.218 dated 13.8.2020 at Police Station City Sunam, District Sangrur under Sections 353, 186 and 506 of Indian Penal Code.

The FIR was lodged at the instance of ASI Sham Singh, wherein it is alleged that on 13.8.2020, when he alongwith other police officials went to the house of the petitioner in connection with investigation of FIR No.50 dated 26.1.2020 registered at Police Station City Sunam, District Sangrur under Sections 454, 380, 201 and 411 of Indian Penal Code for the purpose of MOHAN SINGH 2021.01.19 17:48 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
( 2 ) CRM-M-31758-2020 (O&M) arresting him, they saw that the petitioner Satnam Singh was standing in the open yard of his house. When the complainant and other police officials moved forward to apprehend him, a woman stopped him and when he made an effort to move forward, then he was caught from the neck by that woman and who pulled his shirt breaking the button of his shirt of his uniform. It is alleged that in the meantime Satnam Singh came forward and pushed him and fled away from the spot.

Learned State counsel, upon instruction from ASI Sham Singh, has informed that pursuant to interim directions issued by this Court on 8.10.2020 the petitioner has since joined investigation and is not required for any custodial interrogation.

In view of the aforestated position, the present petition is accepted and the interim directions issued by this Court vide order dated 8.10.2020 are hereby made absolute subject to the condition that the petitioner shall join investigation as and when called upon to do so and cooperate with the Investigating Officer and shall also abide by the conditions as provided under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C.
