Mr. Mohammad Arshad, Advocate (petitioner in person). Mr. Deepak Balyan, Addl. Advocate General, Haryana. **** The petitioner appearing in person has filed this petition by way of Public Interest Litigation seeking a direction to the respondentauthorities to provide proper medical facilities at Trauma Centre in Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati Government Medical College, Nalhar, Mewat. On the directions issued by this Court, a latest affidavit has been filed by Dr.
Pawan Kumar Goel, Director, Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati Government Medical College, Nalhar, Mewat, wherein he has stated that adequate medical facilities, which are required to be provided in the trauma centre, have been provided by making available the necessary staff in the Departments of Orthopedics, Anesthesia, Surgery, Dental, Emergency, Eye & ENT. It has also been stated that para-medical staff is also available round the clock and the emergency medical facilities are also available to provide all possible care facilities to the patient(s).
It has also been stated that the Accident & Emergency Department also works for 24 hours and 7 days of the week and all the facilities including ambulance, CT scan, MRI, Mammography, Medico-legal report, First Aid Treatment, Laboratory facilities, Micro biology, Pathology and Bio-chemistry are also available. [2] The affidavit further states that a separate blood bank is also available and that the trauma centre is fully functional. To provide emergent facilities to the patient(s), there are as many as three operation theaters and that total 92230 patients have approached the Trauma Centre for treatment since January, 2020 to December, 2022 and out of them total 88447 patients have been treated and remaining 3783 patients have been referred to other centres for treatment. The affidavit further states that necessary facilities required for trauma centre Level-III are already available in the hospital and therefore, the necessary requirements have been fulfilled by the Government.
Looking to the aforesaid facts duly mentioned in the affidavit, we find that no further orders are required to be passed in this petition which is accordingly disposed of taking the aforesaid affidavit of the Director on record.
