The prayer in the present petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for the issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for directing the official respondents to decide the representations (Annexures P-2 to P-6, P-9 and P-12 to P-15). 2.

The learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner is the Mehant of a Dera. The private respondents are interfering in the peaceful possession of the petitioner. Therefore, adequate protection be granted to the petitioner.

The learned State counsel, on the other hand, contends that the representations (Annexures P-2 to P-6, P-9 and P-12 to P-15) have been examined. No cognizable offence is found to have been committed by the private respondents and therefore, no FIR was registered.
