(Oral) The present petition is for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to step up the pay of the petitioner equal or above to junior employee i.e respondent No. 4. On notice, a short reply has been filed on behalf of respondent Nos. 1 to 3 admitting that the petitioner was recruited as Driver on contract basis on 16.10.1998 and his services were regularized w.e.f 24.10.2002 in the pay scale of 3050-4950 (Driver Grade-II) and 4000-6000 (Driver GradeI) was granted w.e.f 24.10.2004. From 06.04.2016, petitioner is getting pay scale of Rs.5200-20200 + 3200 GP (R-1). However, respondent No. 4 was recruited as driver on 08.08.2003 on contractual basis and his services were regularized w.e.f 15.10.
