Rajan Gupta, J (Oral) On the last date of hearing, a copy of the petition was handed over to learned State counsel to seek his assistance. Today, he submits that no cause of action survives in the present petition as paddy sowing season no longer subsists. However, he has instructions to submit that in the next season, State shall conduct the survey and take appropriate steps in view of the provision of Punjab Preservation of Sub Soil Water Act, 2009 to ensure that no inconvenience is caused to the petitioners and similarly placed residents of the area.

In view of above, no further direction is necessary. Disposed of.
