Through the instant petition, as filed under Section 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioners, who are in "live-in relationship", seek issuance of directions upon the respondents No.2 and 3, to ensure protection of their lives and liberty at the hands of respondents No.4 to 8. 2.
On 01.07.2024, while issuing notice, a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court had called for a status report. Today, the learned State counsel, on instructions imparted to him by the official concerned, informs this Court that, now the matter has been compromised between the petitioners and the private respondents concerned and as of today, there is no threat to the lives and liberty of the petitioners.

In view of the above, no further order is required to be passed upon the instant petition at this stage. Therefore, the instant petition is closed. CRWP-6135-2024 apprehend any danger to their lives and liberty in future, approach the appropriate authority concerned for redressal of their grievance, whereupon, the authority concerned shall evaluate the alleged threat perception and take appropriate action as per law. 4.
