*** Daya Chaudhary, J. (Oral) The prayer in the present writ petition is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing of impugned order dated 18.06.2016 (Annexure P-8), whereby, posts of B.C. for appointment to the post of Clerks have been reduced.

In response to notice of motion, short reply by way of affidavit has been filed in the Court and the same is taken on record. A copy thereof has been supplied to learned counsel for the petitioner. The relevant averment made in para No.7 of the reply is reproduced as under:- "7. That it is further respectfully submitted that final selection was made on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in graduation. The marks obtained by the petitioner in graduation are 61.50% and the Neetu Rani 2016.11.11 12:18 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

CWP No.17118 of 2016 petitioner falls in selection zone. It is further respectfully submitted that as and when necessary recommendations would made to the requisitioned departments for offering appointments to the successful candidates, the name of the petitioner shall also be included in such recommendations. In this way, the present petition has become infructuous and is liable to be dismissed."

It has been mentioned in the reply that the name of the petitioner shall also be included in the recommendations to be made as his name is there in the zone of consideration of candidates. Learned counsel for the petitioner does not want to press this petition.

Disposed of as such.
