The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking directions to appoint her as Faculty in the Punjab National Bank Rural Self Employment Training Institute, Ambala.

The petitioner on 21.03.2014 was appointed as Faculty member by the respondents. The petitioner continued to work from 2014 to 2023. The appointment of the petitioner was contractual. Every year contract was renewed, however, vide communication dated 20.06.2023 (Annexure R-11), the respondents has decided to cancel contract of the petitioner.

Mr.Kshitiz Goel, Advocate submits that contract of the petitioner expired on 19.06.2023 whereas contract of the petitioner has been cancelled vide communication dated 20.06.2023. Thus, contract of the petitioner has been cancelled after the expiry of contract period. The petitioner has been displaced without issuing notice as well as granting opportunity of hearing.

Mr. Gaurav Goel, Advocate fairly submits that the respondents-authorities would pass speaking order after granting opportunity of hearing. He further assures the Court that all the grievances of the petitioner would be looked into and an appropriate order would be passed within 10 days from today.

In the wake of statements of learned counsel for the parties, no further order is warranted. The respondents shall pass an order within 10 days from today.
