***** NIDHI GUPTA, J. (ORAL) Prayer in this criminal writ petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for issuing a writ of mandamus directing the respondents for extension of emergency parole to the petitioner for a period of 4 weeks on account of her medical ground.
Learned counsel for the State files custody certificate dated 24.09.2024 in Court today and the same is taken on record. Learned counsel has pointed out that the petitioner was granted concession of regular parole only upto 30.06.2024. As per the said custody certificate, the petitioner over stayed her parole and surrendered on 04.07.2024; and currently she is in custody. It is submitted that as the prayer in the present petition is for extension of parole granted to the petitioner on medical grounds and the petitioner is in custody, the present petition has become infructuous.
Perusal of the order sheets shows that none had appeared on behalf of the petitioner on the last date of hearing i.e. 24.09.2024. Today also, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. DIVYANSHI 2024.09.25 17:25 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
