(Oral) In compliance of order dated 31.08.2022, Ms. Harjit Kaur, Senior Assistant and Mr. Harwarinderpal Singh, Clerk from the office of Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate, Mohali are present in the Court along with online status of the application form for renewal of licence of the petitioner. According to the officials, the petitioner had filed an application for renewal of his licence through online mechanism and the same has been rejected by the Additional Deputy Commissioner on 04.07.2022, but detailed order could not be passed.

CWP No. 16648 of 2022 -2Against the order of rejection of the application for renewal of licence, the petitioner has a remedy of appeal before the competent authority.
In the absence of any order passed by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, the petitioner could not file any such appeal.
Learned State counsel submits that the needful in the context of passing the speaking order shall be done within one week from today.
In the event of passing a speaking order, a copy thereof be supplied to the petitioner so as to enable the petitioner to avail his legal remedy in accordance with law. Disposed of.
