Prayer in this criminal writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of direction to the official respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and personal liberty of the petitioners by providing police protection to the petitioners. Further prayer has been made to issue direction to official respondents to decide the representation dated 27.06.2024 (Annexure P-5) and not to harass the petitioners illegally from the hands of private respondents. 2.

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that let this petition be disposed of only with a direction to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur (respondent No.2) to consider and decide the representation dated 27.06.2024 (Annexure P-5) alleged to have been submitted by the petitioners seeking protection for their lives and personal liberty.
