Prayer in this criminal writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus for directing the official respondents No.1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of private respondents No.4 to 8 and to further direct not to intrude into the privacy of the petitioners. Further prayer has been made to issue direction to respondents No.2 and 3 to decide the representation dated 25.06.2024 (Annexure P-5) filed by the petitioner No.1. 2.
At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that let this petition be disposed of only with a direction to the Senior Superintendent of Police, S.A.S. Nagar, Mohali (respondent No.2) to consider and decide the representation dated 25.06.2024 (Annexure P-5) alleged to have been submitted by the petitioner No.1 seeking protection for their lives and personal liberty.
