**** HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI , J. (ORAL) In the present writ petition, the grievance which is being raised by the petitioner is that the benefits for which he was entitled from the date of his appointment have not been released to him so far. Further grievance raised is that after the retirement of the petitioner from service, even the pensionary benefits have not been released to him keeping in view the date with effect from which he was appointed, as granted to him vide order dated 02.08.2016 (Annexure P-2).

Learned Senior counsel states that the prayer in the present writ petition for the grant of service benefits as well as retiral benefits keeping in view the date of appointment of the petitioner as 14.12.2001. CWP-18404-2019 -2raised in the present writ petition, petitioner has submitted a representation dated 27.02.2018 (Annexure P-7) to the respondents and the concerned authorities have already recommended the case of the petitioner for the grant of service benefits as well as retiral benefits keeping in view the date of his appointment i.e. 14.12.2001. Learned Senior counsel further states that at this stage the petitioner will be satisfied in case a time bound direction is issued to the respondents to decide the said representation by passing an appropriate speaking order.

In view of the request made, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the claim being made by the petitioner, the respondents are directed to decide the representation dated 27.02.2018 (Annexure P-7) by passing a speaking order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. In case after the decision, it is found that the petitioner is entitled for any monetary benefit, the same shall also be released to him within a period of next three months.

Present writ petition stands disposed of.
