G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) The claim in the present writ petition is for directing the respondents to issue regular appointment letter in pursuance to the letters dated 18.07.2012 and 06.03.2013 w.e.f. 06.04.2014 alongwith all consequential benefits on the post of Assistant Librarian since similarly situated employees have been regularized in November, 2014. The case of the petitioner is that in pursuance of an advertisement, he had applied and was selected to the post of the Assistant Librarian. The appointment letter was issued on 30.05.2011 (Annexure P-3) and the petitioner joined on the said post. A decision had been taken by the respondents to regularize the services of the contract employees w.e.f. 06.04.2014 and documents were called for. The case of the petitioner was sent in view of letter dated 10.01.

2014 (Annexure P-5) and the process of regularization was initiated. However, the regular appointment letter has not been issued. Representations dated 15.01.2015, 20.02.2015 were made (Annexure P-6) (colly). Reference was also made to the regularization letters issued to similarly situated employees. Thereafter, legal notice SHIVANI GUPTA 2015.09.

-2dated 12.03.2015 (Annexure P-8) was also served. Keeping in view the above controversy and without commenting on the merits of the case, this Court does not feel it necessary to call upon the respondents to file reply.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no. 2 to decide legal notice dated 12.03.2015 (Annexure P-8) within a period of 2 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order. Needless to say that in case the relief is to be denied, the order should contain reasons.
