Versus
State of Punjab and others
...Respondent(s)
CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE G.S.SANDHAWALIA
Present:
Ms. Alka Chatrath, Advocate, for the petitioners.
Mr. Anshul Gupta, AAG, Punjab.
G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) Counter affidavit has been filed, in which it has been averred that the examinations are to start from 29.04.2016 of the two years' ETT course for the Session 2013-15.
Counsel for the State, on instructions from Ms. Karmjit Kaur, Senior Assistant, however, submits that there is a typographical mistake and the exams started from 29.03.2016 and reliance has been placed upon the date sheet.
Counsel for the petitioner also does not dispute the said fact that the exams have already started.
Notice of motion was only issued on this limited issue as to why there is delay in completion of course and as to why final examinations have not been held since the session had started in the year 2013. Counsel for the petitioner submits that there is an apprehension that the result shall not be declared and the respondents shall delay the said declaration of result.
Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction that the result be declared expeditiously.
